The actress was noticed by a talent agency who saw her talent and then convinced her to take on a career in the field of entertainment. The university she attended dropped her after much thought to pursue a career in entertainment. Her first appearance was in the film Children of the Corn V : Fields of Terror, but she wasn't thrilled with the way it turned out. To improve her acting, she worked extremely hard and was featured in numerous low-budget films to demonstrate her skills. The path of the actor wasn't easy, but his sheer patience and willpower were rewarded. Following her triumph in Training Day, her career in acting took off.
